Dan Gilbert is Founder & Chairman of Quicken Loans and Rock Ventures, the umbrella entity for his business and real estate investments, and majority owner of the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2010, Dan moved his Family of Companies to downtown Detroit and has since invested $1.7B to purchase and renovate 70+ commercial properties in the city’s core. Today, 12,500 team members work downtown.

Dan is committed to remaking Detroit into a high-tech entrepreneurial hub. Through his VC & PE firms, Detroit Venture Partners and Rockbridge Growth Equity, and startup accelerator Bizdom, Gilbert has built what is now the city’s center of technology and creative start-ups, known as the ‘Madison Block’. He also recently announced the formation of ‘Rocket Fiber’, a company that has started construction of a state-of-the-art fiber network for all of downtown Detroit.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and his law degree from Wayne State University.

In his role as Co-Executive Chairman, CEO and Governor, Joe Lacob is the co-managing member of the Golden State Warriors’ ownership group. He also serves on the NBA Board of Governors.

Since purchasing the Warriors and assuming control of the team on November 12, 2010, Lacob has been the driving force behind many of the creative changes that have transpired with the organization, including several prominent personnel additions and an emphasis on transparency.

Lacob has been a partner of Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers since 1987. Though still an active partner in the firm, he has relinquished his managing partner role. Prior to joining Kleiner Perkins, Lacob was an executive with Cetus Corporation, FHP International, and Booz, Allen & Hamilton.

Lacob received a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences from the University of California-Irvine, a Master's in Public Health (Epidemiology) from UCLA and an M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
